All you need is Beer...

Outside of NYC stopping for beer becomes a priority because a.) it is cheaper, and b.) you never know what crazy rules about purchasing alcohol a state can have.  In Connecticut, for example one cannot buy beer on Sunday.  In Maryland one can only buy beer in a Supermarket, and in Pennsylvania you can only buy beer in cases.  Once you figure out where and how to procure beer it seems that you can never ever have enough.  Especially while on vacation.  We have learned this lesson a few times this week.  Including once, when we had exactly nine minutes to catch the ferry from Portland back to Peaks Island.   Needless to say Michele accepted, and completed this mission successfully.  She made it back to the ferry with seconds to spare.  Since this vacation would not be one where we would explore museums and historical sites, we felt compelled to discover the vast varieties of local brews that Maine had to offer.  We tried ambers, summers, blueberries, and even beers of the organic variety.  On the way home through New Hampshire we learned that the state run (who knew) liquor stores do not sell beer. Although we were unable to acquire beer in New Hampshire we can proudly head home tomorrow with a sense of accomplishment from our sampling in Maine.
